How to Dry Fig?
A heat pump dryer is an energy-efficient and efficient drying appliance that can dry food quickly by recycling heat and moisture. For figs, a fruit with high moisture content, it is recommended to set the temperature of the heat pump dryer between 55°C and 60°C, so that the moisture of the fruit can be evaporated in a short time to avoid over-drying and scorching.
Steps
Here are the general steps for drying figs in a heat pump dryer:
Prepare fresh figs by washing them, peeling them, and slicing or dicing them to make them easier to dry.
Place a drying grid or drying tray in the heat pump dryer, spread the cut figs evenly on it, and be careful not to stack too much, otherwise it will affect the drying effect.
Set the heat pump dryer to a temperature between 55°C and 60°C and set the drying time to 4 to 6 hours, depending on the thickness and humidity of the figs.
During the drying process, you can check the drying condition of the figs at intervals, and if you find that there is sticking or overdrying, you can adjust the temperature or time appropriately.
When the figs are dried, take them out and place them in a ventilated and dry place, and wait for them to cool before eating or storing.
Attentions
It should be noted that the heat pump dryer will generate a certain amount of noise and heat during the drying process, so it needs to be placed in a well-ventilated place, and at the same time pay attention to safety during operation.
