How to Dry Mangos?

Heat pump dryer is an efficient and energy-saving drying equipment, which can also be used for fruits with high moisture content such as mango. Here are the steps for drying mangoes in a heat pump dryer:

Steps

1. Cleaning and peeling: First, the mango needs to be cleaned and the skin removed.
2. To slice or dice: Cut the mango into evenly sized slices or chunks.
3. Pretreatment: Before putting the mangoes into the heat pump dryer, you can spray an appropriate amount of antioxidants or lemon juice on the surface to maintain the color and nutrients.
4. Put into the heat pump dryer: Put the processed mango pieces or slices into the heat pump dryer.
5. Adjust the temperature and time: According to the moisture content and size of the mango, adjust the temperature and time of the heat pump dryer. Usually, the temperature is controlled between 50°C-60°C, and the time is about 8-10 hours.
6. Finish drying: Do not take out the mango until it is completely dry. When drying is complete, remove the mango and let it cool to room temperature.
7. Packaging and storage: Put the dried mangoes into sealed bags or containers and store them in a dry and ventilated place.
